Wendy A. Divozzo

Attorney & Founder

Wendy is the founding Member and President of Impact Legal, PLLC. She has over 25 years of experience as a practicing attorney, having focused most of her career on matters that deeply impact families.

Wendy has a long and demonstrable track record of securing extraordinary results for her clients. Family related legal matters are full of chaos and stress for the client, whether it’s a divorce, death, or other family battle. Wendy is communicative, and practical, in her approach to helping people and many of her clients have stayed with her for their legal needs for many years and through a couple of generations!

After graduating from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1991, Wendy attended law school at Michigan State University, graduating Cum Laude in 1998. She practiced commercial litigation and banking law briefly in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan before moving back home with her husband and young daughter in 2000 to be near her family in Cadillac. Wendy was born in Warren, Michigan but has lived in Cadillac most of her life.

Wendy spent 24 years practicing law with McCurdy Wotila & Porteous and was the first and only female shareholder at that firm to date from 2002 to 2024. In 2024 Wendy founded Impact Legal, PLLC and moved her law practice down the road to the beautiful and newly redeveloped, former Long Road Distillery building in Cadillac. She continues to focus her legal practice in areas that affect families.

Wendy has historically focused her community involvement on children and youth coaching, but was a founding member of the board for the Stehouwer Free Clinic, which is still in operation today. She was also the Chair of the Board of the Wexford County Council on Aging for several years. She has volunteered with Cadillac Area All Sports Association, Cadillac Area Soccer Association and other youth-supportive organizations.

Wendy is an active member of the Cherry Grove Church of the Nazarene where she volunteers to help with vacation bible school and similar activities, volunteers for various other church-related activities and sings with the Praise and Worship Team.

She and her husband, John, have raised two accomplished daughters whom they have followed around the region watching soccer games and ski races. Their oldest daughter is now a professional soccer coach and recently earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Central Missouri. The youngest is a full-time student majoring in social work and works several jobs as she works her way through college.

When she is not at work, Wendy spends most of her time with her husband, and their numerous pets, and her extended family hanging around in the woods.
